Our Review:
The Modern Cash Prepaid MasterCard is a run-of-the-mill card when it comes to its recurring fees and regular features. A $9.95 monthly fee is waived with a monthly deposit of at least $2,000 and it will cost cardholders $2.50 for each ATM withdrawal.
The card does have some unique reward offers, including its free pharmacy card for prescription savings of 10-75% and money-back rebates on brand-name drugs at more than 63,000 participating pharmacies. You can learn more about this card at PharmacyCard.org. (Note: It appears this card is available to you even if you are not a Modern Cash MasterCard cardholder.) Other offers include discount ID theft insurance and soon-to-be-unveiled discount health plans.
When it comes down to it, nothing particularly stands out about the Modern Cash Prepaid Mastercard — it will provide the same features as most other prepaid debit cards but — at least until they reveal the discount health plans — not much else. We’ll update our review once we learn the details of those.
